Market participants are expected to split sell orders where they do not own the full quantity: the owned quantity goes in as a normal sell and the balance as a marked short sell order. SGX-ST publishes aggregated short sale data by the start of the next trading day and provides a facility to correct wrongly marked orders.
Partial ownership means a split order, not a single normal sell.
