If the risk needed to reach a goal exceeds what the client can afford or stomach, the adviser must surface the gap and adjust goals/expectations - not force excessive risk. Reconciling required, capacity and tolerance is central to suitability.
A goal does not justify exceeding capacity/tolerance; the conflict must be discussed, not overridden.
